has anyone had fermented honey in capped honey.ihave a hive that 20 frames has fermented honey in them.about 1inch all around the outside of the frames.some has big blisters and most looks like drone cells. the middle of the frames are ok....schawee
no shb and the honey is not slimy.if you open the cells there are bubbles in the honey same with the blisters.the blisters are 30 to 40 cells that make the blister.i guess the gas from fermented honey cause that.
Took out some honey a few days ago and I noticed two frames in a full super, when uncapped they were filled with bubbles. I have read that honey will crystallize before it ferments. This honey was not crytallized but it seemed to have a fruity taste too it. I have it in a seperate container and will keep it for a while and see what happens.
I believe there was a post about this same issue a few weeks back..
