Lot's of answers for that but I usually feed until they stop taking it. Some seem to never stop while others ignore sugar water whenever there's a good flow. If I have a slow hive, I keep it on all the time. If I hive a package late in the year (like this year, I'll be putting in one late package in June), I keep the food on to kick start the comb building...especially if I hived them on foundation to begin with.
Sugar Daddy, if you installed your package bees on foundation...you should feed them until they get the combs drawn out in your brood chamber(s). If a nectar flow is on they will often prefer nectar over the sugar syrup. But in any case, keep feeding until they get their foundation drawn.
