A question similar to that asked by BaconStreetBees. Is it safe to feed back to the bees frames of uncapped nectar from dead-outs? I've been told that there may be a problem with a fungus unless the frames have been stored in a freezer.

They starved in spite of being on frames with stores and just below blocks of fondant. They couldn't deal with the really cold weather because the cluster wasn't large enough. At least, that is what I concluded.

I had a similar situation and used my old comb this year and the bees have actualy done better than years past. I don't think you'll experience any problems.
