I do that after I pull off the honey supers in the fall. If a frame is not all capped, or only partially filled it goes in the freezer for feeding back in early spring or late winter. Best emergency food ever.

My recommendation is to just eat it. You only want to feed your bees their own honey. Feeding outside honey is a great way to spread disease.
