Feeding double nuc's?

943 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  SRatcliff
I have a double nuc that I would like to give some sugar water, it is a divided deep with 2, 4 frame bodies on top of it, with 2 inner covers. I always feed with inverted pails, if I put a pail on top of them and shim so they can both get to it will it cause problems?

Thanks

It would probably be okay, but I feed both sides with a separate feeder inside an empty deep. Even then it seems like a few bees may be crossing over. Feeding separately would also allow the feeder to be closer to the cluster(inner cover hole).
