Going to set up a NUC this weekend. Using a NUC box I got from brushy bee.

I'm just wondering how to feed. I don't believe in bordman feeders, there is no room to do bag feeding, or top bucket (need another NUC box on top for that) - a frame feeder will take up a frame, but seems to be the best choice.

any other suggestions?

Here are some options:
* Make a 3/4" feed rim and use Zip Lock bags.
* Cut a 1 1/2" hole in the cover and use a one gallon pail feeder. You do not have to have a nuc shell covering the pail.
* use a one quart jar to feed instead of the feeder pail
* make the holes in the feeder pail and jar small, 1/16".

Mostly I feed larger hives and then take the capped honey to the nucs. I sometimes feed with frame feeders when the nucs are new and don't need the space. Later I put another empty nuc box on the top and set the boardman feeder right on the frames.
