Requeened a hive today. Wanted to see them fanning. They never did around the cage. They didn't try to kill her and I could easily move them off the cage, but no fanning.
Sound normal? I left her. This is day 1.
Found one very early queen cell. Nothing in it. Just begun.
They were queenless for 2 days.
It was a nuc I gave to a friend. The former queen was a brand new queen, champion layer, in the hive less than a month, then was found dead outside. Laid the nuc wall to wall.
I overnighted a queen. Didn't want them to have to wait for a month.

No fanning. It is not their queen, yet. She still needs to be accepted.
