I have two hives (each with two deeps) that I would like to split and still get production from next year. I am in North/central Georgia where the flow is already pretty much finished for the year. Should I split in the fall and feed? I don't really want to split in the spring in case it takes too long to build and I miss the very short nectar flow here. Also, I would eventually like to switch from deeps to mediums. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks
