Fall Requeening

I'm going to requeen all these swarms we've been catching. My plan is to requeen this Fall. In California (South Central Valley - Bakersfield), is there a particular time or date I need to requeen by?

My next step will be to find some queens for Fall.

Beekeepers New Year is August first. At that point in time you have 60 days to build a population for overwinter. Fall requeening is one of the best things you can do, be ruthless. Great swarm control method.

I try to requeen swarms as soon as possible why wait.
