Well, after a less than spectacular summer, maybe we will see at least something for the Fall. I'll count my blessings as for the most part, the girls have strong double deep broods loaded with stores and brood-today looks like a better day. On my morning walk with "Hey get back here" the fields and gardens look like the asters and goldenrod are starting. Kind of cool now in the early morning but we should hit 80 later on and a walk by the hives at the house shows a lot of foragers starting their commute. Good stuff! What's it like in your neighborhood?

It doesn't look like your goldenrod is fully open yet. Mine here are about the same stage. I'm going into my colonies on Tuesday am so I can't tell you if the nectar is in yet.

Sagebrush steppe in full bloom and highway lined with sunflowers.
Weeds to most folks, but the bees are loving it.

Flow is on.
Sweet spot of goldenrod/asters combination is here and now.
Also we have sporadic rain, good humidity, and 80/60s in the 10 day forcaste going - good September here.
