I got a call - during classes, which is not exactly approved of by the admins -from my ex-Marine brother, who was in a tizzy because one of my hives swarmed this morning. They have evidently landed in a tree, about 10-12 feet off the ground, not close to anything more than a cotton field. I guess I wil be suiting up for a capture after school today!

It's anybody's guess. I've had people call me after a swarm perched under a roof for several days and missed swarms when they call within a couplf of hours. Either way - the meter is ticking! Suit up for a swarm? ;) Good luck.

Oh well.....missed 'em! At least, they're not around where I can find them. My brother said they had disappeared sometime after he called me. No way he was going to box them -- he won't get near the hives. Girls seem normally active at the hive entrance, though -- think I'll open it up later this afternoon and see what things look like.
