Please respond with a simple yes or no as to whether or not you sterilize new canning jars prior to filling them with honey. I get to leave the first response. No I do not sterilize new canning jars.

No. The instant you put the honey in the jar it is not sterilized anymore.

My wife and I can quite a bit in jars. She insists that all new jars go through a rinse cycle of the dishwasher. I don't know if it's necessary, but I do know we will do it.

Me too. Mason pint and quart jars, hot wash, heat dry.

Cant be faulted for being just a little bit careful these days..... This way you can look your customer in the eye, knowing you did the best you could for them.
