Hello All,

Is there any way to factor how many beehives an area can support?

We have been told that 20 beehives is optimal for most areas, but the numbers suggested seem to really range. Obviously farmland versus non would be a huge consideration. Just wondering if there is some type of mathematical or other possible way to figure this out. Having a source of water nearby is a given. We are currently building 50 in a municipal park in Puerto Rico and are planning to plant more wild flowers, sunflowers, etc.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
