I have deeps that need to be wired up but first I need to drill 1/8 eyelet holes. If I take a older deep frame and mark the newer frame where I need the eyelet holes would that work?

I would use smaller holes and staples to keep the wire from splitting into the frame sidebars. Much quicker and cheaper. Seeing a post such as this on BS made me switch. Wouldnt think of going back to eyelets.

Edit; Notice you dont need staple where wire pulls across the grain

Been using staples for ~20 years now. Buy them at a dollar store for $1 for 1000 staples. Might as well get the paper stapler there too. Staples are way way faster also.

I take an end bar cut off the upper part so that it rests under the top bar of the frame. This makes a template. Then drill the holes. You need a new one about every 500 frames or so. Or you could mark with a felt tip pen but takes much longer, but doesn't wear out the template.
