Inspecting some hives today for progress and queen acceptance and I saw something looking like uncooked oatmeal on the bottom board. Not much, but wondered if this is something to be concerned about.
These two hives have been messed with quited a bit this spring/summer with doing splits, combining frames to build up hive, and queen hatching from cells. Hives seem to be struggling a little bit but there is egg/larvae and I have seen the queen in both hives.
Any ideas on what this debris might be?
Thanks in advance.
