I pulled off the cover on one of my hives, and noticed I had a bunch of dead drones which got trapped between the inner cover and outer cover.

This is a standard mann lake telescoping cover. I'm not running a queen excluder, so they didn't get trapped into the upper box or anything.

It looks like they crawled out the center hole and got stuck.

I'm not really a big fan of these telescoping covers, I have started switching to homemade migratory covers with an additional top entrance.

If it is all drones, I'll bet that they were kicked out of the hive, or at least banished to the attic.
