First time poster and 3rd year beekeeper. On a few of the frames I took off a week or so ago for extracting, there were about 4-5 dead brood, black larva. I cut them out of my frames before extracting. Do you think my honey is still ok? I have to imagine this happens all the time to larger scale beekeepers but I only have a couple hives and haven't experienced this before. Probably being too neurotic but ...

Did you check to see what the brood looks like in the main brood nest? Was this brood dead before you took the super off or did the super sit off the bees a while before it was extracted then you saw the dead brood?

If you cut it out, honey should be OK. I would do as Beeslave says, do an immediate inspection of the brood nest.
