My weak hive was requeened last week. It's rained torrentially the past couple days, and I suspect some water got in the hive as I'm feeding via a 1 gal inverted feeder over the inner cover hole with no other cover on the hive. Yesterday when I checked the hive, there were maybe 20 dead white brood on teh ground in front of the hive. I'm thinking these may have been due to the rain, but wondering if there's anything else I should be concerned about. The hive does have varroa and will be treated within the next week or so.

Pete, if I had evidence of a chilled brood, I think I'd put a deep box around that feeder and an outer cover on top of that. Should stop the dead brood problem.
