Welcome Doug! I was just "on" your neighborhood two weeks ago!
Missed the last ferry off the island but fortunately it was the first day they started running the additional 7:30 slot so we made it off. You should do just fine keeping bees there. There's a transplant from here that started a lavender business there. http://fragrantisle.com/
Perhaps you can tap into their plants for honey!
