This was my drive to work question I thought of today.
How do beekeepers ensure that their bees are only pollinating and getting nectar from single specific sources allowing them to label their honey only as Almond, Tupelo, Orange Blossom, etc. honey? Is there a acreage amount that ensures this? Thanks, juzzer
If they are honest, they put the bees near the source, put the supers on when the source blooms, pull the supers when the source stops blooming and taste the honey to see if it tastes like that... if they are less than honest, there is no telling...
