I have two bar sizes in the hive. One supposedly for brood and one for honey. Does it matter if I place either size in the brood chamber? And should I jettison any drawn comb on a bar before I put it in another location in the hive..ie the brood chamber? Some of the comb in question is a little wavy..not quite straight on the bar.

I have 1 1/4in and 1 1/2in bars in my TBH's. Last year was my first year, and I somehow put a 1 1/2 bar in spot ten, when the bees built that out I got a really thick, and offset honey comb. Shaved it down a little and moved it out of the brood area, the bees recapped it and made it a good length. This year I plan on feeding empty bars into the brood area, and the honey area, but I will not mix them.
