anyone ever done this ? im thinking of giving it a shot when a good flow hits here.

its the technique of cutting holes in an inner cover to screw down inverted mason jars and having the bees build honey comb in them. just curious if anyone has had some success with this and ups and downs with doing it. it looks like a great product for customers and could probably bring a nice premium.

i saw it a couple years ago on youtube and wanted to give it a shot.

Fatbeeman has a youtube video on it. Jaropac I believed he called it. It is doable but it seems no one does it more than once. Tells me, it is just not worth it. I too have an itch to try it myself but that could be said of the red head down the street--who is also totally safe from me.

yeah thats where i first saw it. im sure you need a good strong hive with a good flow to do it with any success. just like any good comb honey production. maybe ill put some on a few nucs and see what comes of it.
