Cell Builder Frame Size

I would like to hear opinions and experiences with cell builder frame sizes. I have heard folks discuss modifying standard frames to make them narrower.

It would be great if folks could share their thoughts on the "optimal" cell builder frame set up.

Any input is welcome.

Thanks,
Michael

3/4". for me it was a no brainer. when i used a standard frame the cells got covered in comb. when i used a 3/4" bar they didn't.

......with some pictures would be great. I have wondered the same things. Like how far between bars for the cells to build in.

we use 3/4" also, no problems

Using a 3/4" frame, do you push the other frames up tight against it on either side?
yes then they wont build brace comb from your cell builder to the other frames
Standard on the left coast is 1/2 or 5/8, 4 rows of cells to a deep frame. I prefer 3 rows 60 cells takes a LOT of bees. I think I get better cells with 45.
