Had a bad dream the other day that my hives all had wax moths in them, rushed into my shop to find it was NOT a dream and now with the possibility the moth has ruined all the drawn comb in my possession i wonder if using the remnants of the floor i put in the misses closet would kill or at least deter the invasion this fall.
Has anyone tried or heard of using this as a control method? sure would smell better than the PBCs i should have used

I have some cedar boxes. I've never seen it slow down the waxmoths. The best place for open comb when the weather is warm enough and the season late enough that there are wax moths, is on the hives. The best place for supers once the weather warms up and before the wax moths get going again, is on the hives. The best place for them in winter is where they will freeze.
