Caught my first swarm today it was 40 ft up in an oak tree bigger than a basket ball but smaller than a beach ball
( had to use a 50 ft man lift to get them )
will post pics later
i have the bees in a 40 gal rubbermaid container with the lid propped up
what is the best way to relocate them to a new hive
1... put a stick and see if they will ball up on the stick over night ?
2 tap all the bee to the bottom of the container and pour them in to the new hive
3 is it better to do it in the morning or now its it 1 hr before dark
thanks
Neal
