A short while back this forum gave me helpful advice on eliminating an ill placed and aggressive wild colony. I mentioned that we have a thriving wild and tended bee population on St. Croix, in the Virgin Islands, as do most of the Lesser and Greater Antilles.

Here's a link to an upcoming event on St. Croix:

After some years of inattention, small plot farming, bee keeping and other small family and community efforts are again vibrant. A shocking decrease in employment opportunity has been the catalyst but in the long run we hope to be headed toward a better balance.
