about 8-10 days ago, I created two very large 5 Frame Nucs from a very powerful hive.
I carried them from my one beeyard and placed them into my backyard.
Well both nucs created queen cells and they were separated for the past 8-10 days.
So, I then was able to create 5 nucs from these two nucs by giving them 2 frames of bees and I penned them up overnight. Well, there must have been raging battles going on as I saw injured bees doing their best to get away to only have them die outside of the Nuc.
Since both nucs were queenless, I am surmising that they must have a "nest scent for them to fight their siblings.
