Can a hive throw two swarms at once?

I left this nuc hive in the tree all winter. It survived without any intervention on my part. No sugar, pollen substitutes, or meds. Now it's trying to swarm, but the bees have formed two distinct swarms.

Yesterday, two swarms were formed in different places. I've got a friend who needs a swarm, but I'm wondering which one to give him or whether either one is suitable to start his beekeeping experience. This nuc hive started from a cast swarm (the third third one that came out of my log hive last year) and it made it through the winter, so I guess it's possible, but I'd like any more knowledgeable beekeepers to weigh in on this.
Thanks

I've seen two small swarms come out at the same time, both had virgin queens along.
