I found a source for 5 gal. and smallar plastic pails from a local backery that icing comes in. Question : can the left over icing be fed to the bees??

I got a bunch of them from a local shop here. Mine didn't have any interest in them. But they clean up very nice and easy, and should work good for food, or honey stores.

Powered sugar is used in frosting...I thought that wasn't good to feed to bees because of the corn starch...unless the company making the frosting uses cornstarch free sugar.

That's exactly what I store my honey in. I never considered feeding the left over frosting to my bees. Not that there's anything wrong with it I guess. I just never considered it. The buckets work great though and the price is right. They're happy to have the buckets hauled off.
