I have one seasons experience with two bar bar hives - and now I am going to try Langstroths. I have two hives - eight frames, each hive with two deeps and two mediums.

Package bees on order for late April.

My question, should I:

1). Load the bees into one deep and put the cover on it.

2). Load the bees in a deep, put another deep+frames above (or below) it and put the cover on?

In the case of one, once the 8 frames are mostly built out, I’d be tempted to add the empty super below it, Warre style. Does anyone have experience with that?

If it were me, I would put them in one deep, inner cover, 1 to 1 syrup feeder inside an empty box (all on top of the inner cover), top/lid.

Add second box on top of first box when 2/3 of frames drawn in first box.
