i do like this feeder, a bit of a hassle to fill it, not knowing when it is empty, etc...but what really got me fired up was the lack of precision/quality control in the spaces of the floats. the spaces on the end were too big and the girls were constantly drowning. i tried covering the floats with cheesecloth, but that was a disaster, the girls getting tangled in the threads, getting decapitated-ugh! so i went to the craft store and got "plastic canvas" 7 mesh. the kind of stuff your grandmother used to make napkin holders, ornaments, etc...and cut a piece to fit over the floats. just installed feeder today, i'll check back in a few days and see how it worked...
