I was preparing to extract honey from a comb when due to, uh, operator mishandling, one of the honey-laden combs broke free of the frame on 3 sides. It does have wire foundation, but the wires popped out of the bottom bar. Will the bees repair this? Or should I just crush and strain that frame? (I don't have a lot of drawn comb.)

I laid it in a pan and let some of the honey run out. I think I will see if it holds together long enough for me to set it on top of the hive for them to clean. I doubt I could trade it in to a super already on the hive without destroying it.
