Finally, hit a day that might make it to 50º. The girls are flying. I have top and bottom entrances, which in one hive they are using it exclusively and not the bottom entrance at all. I pried out the entrance reducer and see
inside the top of the SBB is covered in bee bodies. That's why they're not using the bottom. So I took a stick and cleared out a lot of those bodies. I would imagine the bees will clean it up over time, but wanted to
give them a hand. Are the dead decaying bodies a health hazard to the bees? Is it a good idea to clear out as many as I can?

Thanks Beeman. I cleaned out quite a few, and left some. They're avoiding the SBB and front entrance completely. It looks pretty nasty down there.
