Each Fall I prepare splits and get ready for the following year.

Split 1: Nuc was robbed soon after installation and bees either absconded or queen was killed (my beeyard)
Split 2: Queen was doing very well but bees absconded due to extreme moisture (offsite)
--> The homeowner was top-feeding and drowning the hive
Split 3: Going great guns. Covering eight frames. Have added second brood box (my beeyard)
Split 4: Growing very slowly. Still only occupying two frames (my beeyard)

My question is about Hive 4. Should I replace this queen because she isn't performing?

Cheers.

How often do you disturb her? Any more than the others? Did she return mated at the same time as the others? I learn toward replacement, especially if all other factors are the same.
