I just finished reading two 'new' books from Dadant. Both are reprints from books written in the early 1900's. They are Outapiaries and their management and Dadant system of beekeeping. Here is a link to them: http://www.dadant.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=32_58&sort=2a&page=2 They were written by MG Dandant (son) and CP Dadant (father) respectively.

Of the two I liked Dadant system of beekeeping the best. It is full of lots of good advice that is applicable today. Both books provide a nice historical perspective on beekeeping 100+ years ago.

I would definitely recommend Dadant System of Beekeeping to anyone. Outapiaries and their Management gives a picture of how outapiaries were first managed when moving hives became easier.
