Caught my first swarm today. It was WAY up a tree. Long extension pole with a bucket on the end was the way to do it.

Anyways... this swarm is now in a nuc box, beside the tree, where I left it. It's ~30ft from my bee yard, and the protection of the electric fence.

Do I move them tonight (it's nearly dark outside now... sun is down), or get up early tomorrow morning and move them then?

Really don't want the bear to get this swarm... it looks nice and strong!

I caught a swarm about 100' from my bee area & moved them @dusk.next morn there was a cluster in the bush from the 'guard' bees that came out&couldn't follow me around back.If I find anymore in my yard I'll move them in the morn. so the guards can follow me or catch a ride as most do
