Hey everyone. I started a couple of new hives this year on plastic foundation. Because these are just first year hives, and ensuring I leave enough honey for winter, I'll only have maybe a small handfull of frames that I can extract. Not enough frames to bother with an extractor (probably not more than 5). But I definitely want to extract this little bit. What's the best way to do it? No need to uncap, right? Just scrape all of the wax and honey off of the plastic foundation, crush it and strain it? Thanks for your insights.

That looks like an easy build actually and with a five gallon bucket, you are home! Just don't scrape the valuable comb off the frame. Enjoy the honey! Run it all thru a clean pantyhose as a cheap easy wax filter.
