This is my second year beekeeping and my hive has wintered well. I inspected it last Saturday and they are very active during the day and still have a few frames of capped honey. But I noticed that about a dozen or so bees were standing still, just standing there waiting to die. I would touch them and they will not fly. More are doing the same thing today. They are alive but not very active. This is strange. Does anyone have an idea why they are doing this?

Or, they have the same virus that killed 80% of my hives this winter. Also lots of dying bees outside during cold spells.

If those bees are in front of the hive and moving slowly I would look for another answer and not just "they are waiting to die" one....
