Here in Eastern Ontario it is a bit early for pollen from the wild but I have seen some of the girls loaded up with a reddish pollen from somewhere. Then this afternoon I noted that they very much like my rosemary plants. Winter is too hard for rosemary here so I keep a couple of little bushes in pots which I haul into the house over the winter, and then put outside on sunny days like today. In a normal winter the rosemary starts slowly flowering late November and just keeps on lazily flowering through the winter months in a nice light, cool situation. These bushes are only in 8" pots and a couple of feet high each, but they are in full flower and there must be 100 bees working the flowers right now.

Open up that greenhouse!
