Are there any beekeepers in the Bahamas? Does anyone know? I cannot seem to find any on the web. Is it POSSIBLE to have bees in the bahamas?:scratch:

It is possible to have bees anywhere except the North and South Pole. If you could grow enough flowers at the poles they might survive there too. If you ask about ordinances you will probably meet with man's inherent fear of bees. Several governments in the United States have beekeeping ordinances. I have the basic principles the laws model at

A friend of mine visited St John's in the Caribbean, and he brought back a couple bottles of local honey from there. If someone can manage hives there, I'm sure you could manage hives in the Bahamas.

Jim Fischer (who hasn't posted in over a year) used to list one of his locations as Bahamas. We also had "bahamabeeman" join in Oct 2009 but only post one time.
