While observing a hive I noticed one bee on the top. She was walking around and would take her two back legs with the pollen baskets and walked around (more like thumped around..she looked like a peg-legged pirate walking) Just rubbing and rubbing her two back legs togather. I thought she might have had propolis stuck or something or a mite but she looked all clean. Didnt see any mites and her both back legs didnt appear to have anything clinging to them. She did this for about 10-15 mins alternating legs. I got tired of watching her and walked away. Anyone have any idea what she was doing? She also had what looked to be nectar (clr liquid) at her mouth....just a drop hanging that would smear a lil as she walked.
