The article seems to be discussing the rate of treatment failure for immunotherapy during the maintenance phase for patients suffering from Hymenoptera venom allergy . The study concluded that although there was an established connection between baseline serum tryptase concentration (BTC) and severe systemic reactions after a field sting by wasps or honey bees, they found no strong link between the BTC and treatment failure rates.

The study does not appear to be debating the effectiveness of bee venom versus an alternative in the treatment of allergies.

Despite this small niggle, I was glad to read the article!
