End of article said that the Beekeepers that helped got to keep the bees!
Well if a tractor trailer full of hives wrecked on a highway near me, I would suit up and be one of the first people on the scene to help out (with a snow shovel to scoop bees).

Here where I am the state does not want hobby beekeepers responding to this sort of incident because of past mistakes by volunteer beekeepers trying to help but winding up making the situation worse.

:D Just helping to protect public safety, that's all!

Well certainly, if I was at an emergency incident like that and an official told me to leave, I would leave without any fuss at all. But until that moment...
