bee tragedy

Some folks wont be getting their bees this year. A lot of folks getting free-bees... Glad nobody got seriously hurt. Although 50 stings probably seriously hurts.

Well if a tractor trailer full of hives wrecked on a highway near me, I would suit up and be one of the first people on the scene to help out (with a snow shovel to scoop bees).
:D Just helping to protect public safety, that's all!

Here where I am the state does not want hobby beekeepers responding to this sort of incident because of past mistakes by volunteer beekeepers trying to help but winding up making the situation worse.
Well certainly, if I was at an emergency incident like that and an official told me to leave, I would leave without any fuss at all. But until that moment...
