[bevy's honeybees]

One of my co-workers, a lady I don’t see very often, was asking questions about bees because she overheard me and another co-worker talking about a swarm that had moved into the soffit at their house. She was asking about the whole swarming process, and she asked, how do they find a home once they are in a swarm cluster? I said in a serious and matter-of-fact way, “ they send out scouts”, and as soon as I said it, her eyes go wide and mouth drops open and she says “WHAAATT???” At that moment I realized how incredible that does sound the first time you hear it. Her face was priceless. I still chuckle when I think of it.

Gets the same expression when you mention undertakers, nurse bees, queen attendants. Yeap that is one super organism!!
