"Bee Sugar 50 lb sack - $15
I have dry sugar for making bee syrup. I have more than I need and will some 50 lb sacks for 15.00, at the same cost for me. This is just for bees not for human consumption."

Hi, All! I saw this ads for bee syrup. Any idea what is in this mixture?
If it is not for human consumption then how can the bees consume it?
And they will get mixed in with the honey also. So is it safe for both the bees and human too?
Looks like a bit fishy to me. What do you think?

In our area we see bulk sugar which is really sweepings of sugar from packaged sugar that broke open during shipping. Maybe someone is repacking it?

Candy companies, bakeries, etc have broken bags of sugar and are not allowed to use them. They buy it in large bags by the pallet load. Most of it is perfectly clean. Ocassionally you will get some that has been swept up with a little dirt in it. I just throw that out. Good for feeding hummingbirds also.

Is it from Mann lake? They bought that lot off the govt, and it can't go back into human consumption per stipulation of the auction
