Anyone approve of this ant bait station to be bee proof . It's made using #8 wire . There a 3/4 inch gap that a bee shouldn't be able to get the baited sugar water just poured through the screen .
Any thoughts . Plan to place it a little from the hive to draw the ants away from the hives .

90 looks and no comments . Anyone else think its going to be safe ? Plan is suger water with borax to hopefully kill ants

Will cost you a 70-74 4000 gasser for good answer. Cheapy answer, looks good, not sure about safe, try a dry run with food coloring and see if any painted bees

I think that can holder may may it difficult for you to drink the Pepsi without spilling it all over yourself! :eek::D

I think using #8 screen to let ants in and keep bees out is a good idea.
I am wondering if a solid bait would be safer and less likely to be spilled and cause a problem. Maybe something like Andro gel. Now I think about it, an empty queen cage with both corks could have gel inside it and screen keeping bees out.
