I started my bees in May with a three pound package they now have two deeps filled with brood and honey so I put on a queen excluder and a medium super with bee-o pack frames I left them for a week and checked but they dont seem to be working this super. I sprayed it with better bee before putting in on. Do you think I should go with another type of frame or do you think I should leave this setup on for a while to see if they start working it

Remove the excluder. The bees tend to ignore foundation or comb honey boxes above an excluder, especially if they have two deep boxes below it.

Has anyone else noticed that the Bee-O-Pac
package is >>>> TOO TALL <<<< for the
medium super they are claimed to "fit"???

Is anyone but me laughing their heads off

I stacked a bunch of them up and got away with it, but they do seem to be just a shade too tall.

i couldnt put mine together (in the super) until i had it on top of the hive b/c they kept popping out of the box, im checking how they did tomorrow!! i'll let you all know

Because of the investment I have in them, I plan on using them year after year, until I can get them to use them. I hope. Glad I only bought two supers worth.

BULLSEYE BILL you could not get the bee to build comb and honey in them?

Bee-O-Packs are made to be tall so that the frames below support the Wt. of the plastic and honey without sagging.

I took off the queen excluder and the bees still wouldnt use the bee o packs even sprayed them with honey b healthy finnally put on regular frames, no problem to bad though payed good money for those gagets any body elsae do any good with them

I had great luck with my Bee-O-Pack.I tried them on two hives. The strongest of the two hives filled them in about three weeks the other took about six.I had an excluder on both if the queen did get up there and even layed one hatch of brood the combs would not be fit for sale. My biggest problem is developing a market for the two hundred packs I have to sell.
Heres a couple of tips I received. Don't assemble frame #8 put it in as halves on the outsides and use two pieces of cardboard as shims on either side of the last frame you insert. Push the frame in then pull out the cardboard.
If this stuff sells well I will do alot more of this in the years to come.
