I had 3 nucs that I wanted to move from my out yard to another yard away from the big colonies. Today we had a pretty big storm come through and I knew we were in the edge of the system with light rain most of the morning. I screened in the nucs and moved them about 2 miles. After they were moved I took the screens off. Since they were within 2 miles of the other yard I leaned some inner and outer covers in front of the nucs to help the bees return to their new spot. Tomorrow or the next day I'll go back and remove the blocking covers

It was only 73F and the light rain felt good. It's a couple of hours later and the sun is out and we are back up to 85F. It was nice to not have my t shirt wet from sweat.
