a commercial beekeeper who had about two dozen hives on my property collected all the hives the other day around noon. i am wondering what happens to field bees in this type of situation who return from foraging and find no home. will my bees (i have three hives)let them live with them? will they find my hives? thanks in advance, sarah.

Sounds like a boon for you if there's still a fall flow.
Unfortunately they are older field bees so if there ISN'T a fall flow they will just help eat all the stores.

But yes, they will find the nearest hives and join them.
