Interesting. I put a swarm trap out on our property line, in a spot where an old road crosses from our neighbors onto our land. I sat it right in the middle of the road. We've had problems with tresspassers coming across his land, onto ours. I put the bait hive there for that same reason.

A month or so back one poster here confessed to keeping a couple of hives near the front door. Nobody messed with the place.

The Romans credited the survival of their empire to geese. Geese are wary guards, and remain alert when human sentries are not. They alerted the army to an attack.

Are geese and bees the secret to our security? Just watch where you step and keep your sweet drinks covered?
